Go Green

At Johnson Window Films we like to try to do our bit for the environment. For that reason, we launch our new environmental initiative 'Go Green'. No, it is not the first one to get sea sick! It is a real, dedicated effort to try and lead our industry by example.

After discussions with several action groups throughout the UK ,we understand that a majority of the packaging that keeps the film safe during transportation is disposed of into landfill. We are of the understanding that currently the most a window film company will recycle is the cardboard boxes, all other items go into landfill. Although this is a great start, Johnson Window Films want to do more.

We want to be the first to offer a recycling policy on all plastic film cores and on the plastic roll ends; should the cardboard boxes not already go to recycling we will even collect them. We do not want to add to Carbon Emissions by collecting a couple of rolls from the other side of the UK so this is where we need our customers support. If you could store the items for recycling and when you have around 10 or more rolls please contact us on 02380 454593 and we will arrange for collection.

Additionally you could look at your purchasing process, rather than ordering once or twice a week how about grouping your film requirements together and ordering in bulk? This will lower your delivery costs and lower the carbon emissions needed to deliver your films.

Help us to do more for our environment:

  • Recycle Plastic film cores.
  • Recycle Plastic end caps.
  • Recycle Cardboard Film boxes.
  • Order in bulk save delivery costs and carbon emissions.
